Privacy Policy

The short version

GuessSet is a browser-based tool. Your photos and names are processed entirely on your device — they are never uploaded to a server, never stored on our infrastructure, and never shared with any third party. When you close the tab, the work-in-progress stays in your browser's local storage only; it isn't transmitted anywhere.

What data we collect

We intentionally collect as little as possible. Specifically:

• No account creation. There is no sign-up, no login, and no personal identifiers tied to a user record.
• No photo uploads. Images you drop into the card builder stay in your browser. PDF generation happens client-side.
• No name or content transmission. The names you type are stored locally to restore your work on return visits; they are not sent to us.
• Basic analytics. Like most sites, we use aggregate, cookieless analytics (e.g., Vercel Analytics or similar) to count page views and understand traffic sources. No personal data is collected.

Cookies and local storage

We don't set tracking cookies. We do use your browser's local storage to save your in-progress card set so you can refresh the page without losing your work. This data stays on your device and is cleared when you clear your browser's storage.

Affiliate links

GuessSet is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com. When you click one of our recommended product links and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. We only recommend products we actually use or have evaluated ourselves. All affiliate relationships are disclosed inline on the pages where those links appear.

Payments

If you choose to contribute a voluntary amount through our "pay what you want" option, payment processing is handled by a third-party provider (e.g., Stripe). We do not see or store your card details. The payment provider's privacy policy governs how they handle that data.

Children's privacy

GuessSet is a general-audience tool often used by families. Because we don't collect personal information from any user, we don't knowingly collect data from children under 13 either. If you're a parent and have questions, please reach out.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle data, we'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
